Mount Snow has a long and storied history that includes numerous crazy events, innovations and stories that took place over our nearly 60 years of skiing and riding in southern Vermont. One of the very first ski resorts on the East Coast, Mount Snow is continuing to define the ski industry even today. ooking for some great outdoor fun? Look no further, because the Valley has it all! Home to the Green Mountains, you will find endless trails great for snow shoeing or cross country skiing. This winter wonderland is the perfect backdrop for an afternoon dog sledding or a romantic sleigh ride. If you are looking for a thrill the Valley has it's fill. With VAST trails for snowmobiling you can explore the Green Mountains on your own or on a guided tour. Home to Mount Snow Resort there is no shortage of train to accommodate any ability levelhowever you ride or slide on the snow. Try some target practice with paintball at Adam's Farm.
We are a country store with a large variety of Vermont food products including our own pure VT maple syrup made on site here in our Sugar House. We also have jams, mustards, fudge, an assortment of cheeses, VT souvenirs, tees and sweatshirts. Pick up some of our famous cider donuts, fresh baked pies and cookies from our bakery too!
Shafts Alpacas & Alpaca Shack
At Shaftsbury Alpacas breeding for fineness of fiber, confirmation, temperament and color is the goal. To achieve this there is considerate planning of matching the girls with the perfect stud. Located at the border of VT and NY on Route 67, in the southwestern corner of Vermont. Quite literally, as soon as you see the sign that welcomes you to Vermont, look to your left and you will see the signs that welcomes you to Shaftsbury Alpacas, also home of the Alpaca Shack. Minutes from the Bennington Battlefield and less than 15 minutes from downtown Bennington, Vermont.
